Today has been a brilliant day!
Since, the HC doesn't open until 10a.m. on weekends, Spencer pulled out his WAFFLE IRON!! He made some good waffles, but next time cooking spray would be handy!
After, we went down to Temple Square and saw the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform in the Tabernacle. It was truly an amazing performance. They say "For the Beauty of the Earth" and I just love that song! We were really close to the choir and organ pipes.
I loved exiting and seeing all the differnt sister missionaries speaking in their native tounges.
It is going to be such a blessing living so close to temple square!
After hurrying home changing my shoes and eating some lunch, I head to the first time ever attending Sunday services of the University 35th Ward. I am so amazed how wonderful our bishopric is. I already can tell I'm going to love them and the service they offer to our ward and to me.
Being the fifth Sunday, Relief Society and Elders Quorum were combined. The bishop talked about light. He shared a story of his mission. He was in German speaking Switzerland. He and his companion were traveling on a one way pathway around a lake. The faster he would go the brighter his light would become and sometimes he would go faster than his companion could keep up. Stopping and waiting, his light would go off because the he was not putting in the energy necessary to power the light. We talked about how sometimes in life when we are slowing down in the things we should be doing, our light is starting to diminish and we do not realize this until it is completely extinguished.

Participation was very active and I hope that it continues. I know I learn best when I am more engaged in a discussion than a lecture-based learning situation.
Sunday school and sacrament were just as rewarding. Tonight there is a fireside at the
CONFERENCE CENTER!!

I am so excited to go! I'll write about that when I get home!
