Dear blog,
     I have neglected you over the last couple of weeks.  My life has been sporadic sending me in almost every direction.  
     In these few moments, I am going ot tell you about my amazing day yesterday!  I started volunteering at East High School.  I work in a class that is trying to save the careers of these high schoolers; they are on the verge of failing out.  I work mostly with math.  The concepts are basic and almost any 7th grader would know how do to them.
     The teacher instructs the first minutes of the class and then assigns a practice worksheet.  I wgo around and thry to help the kids in any way I can; I encourage and give them praise when they get answers correct, help the struggling student on a problem, and/or (my favorite) help them get back on task by trying to make the math seem fun and important.


      I truely loved the two hours I spent there. It gives me a greater conviction to get through school as quickly as possible and into my very own class room.
