sentiments about our friendship

I was prepared to go to bed.  Under the covers, music playing, when I sent him a text telling him I was going to sleep.  Error on my part was adding my sentiments about our friendship.  His response tugged at my heart and as many know anything that tugs on my heart sends almost an instant message to my tear ducts.

I am now sitting in the living room rather than in my comfy bed.  I needed a full nights sleep tonight but I don't think that is going to happen.

Maybe what is making this so much more difficult than the 5 other missionary friend I've bid farewell to, is that he is the last. Ryan and Karsen were the people I could talk to about almost anything.  When Karsen left it was tough. I turned to Ryan even more.

Now he's leaving in 8 days.  I've been very blessed to have such wonderful friends that all have decided to serve missions.  Its just more difficult now, because they're actually all gone.

I'm looking forward to building and strengthening the relationships that I'm making to hopefully be as great as those with my 6 missionary boys.

Although this might not make a lot of sense, it truly has helped me.  I think my tears are drying up now.

gone. to bigger and better things. 

P.S. Having friends on missions is a greater blessing than I could have ever imagined.  I know I have been blessed because of them. <3
