loathing the stairs

I HATE STAIRS!!!!

I do everything in my power avoid them--walk up ramps, take the long way around, park on the opposite side of campus.

Today my class was changed from the McKay Building to the Brimhall Building.  I've never stepped foot in the Brimhall building until today. My class is on the 3rd floor and you can imagine my delight while climbing 3 flights of stairs.

The Brimhall is a really old building, but it's been remodeled so it's really nice on the inside.  The stairs are rounded despite the attempts to square them with plastic rods.

While I was in class I noted that it was highly likely that I was going to have a negative run-in with the stairs.  Needless to say, as I was walking down them on my way out, I tripped down 5 stairs.

A boy rounding the corner asked if I was okay, helped me up, and handed me the pieces to my already broken phone (I was leaving my mom a message as I fell).  I told him I was fine and walked out of the building.

I didn't realize my knee hurt so bad until the tears started to flow as I walked.  Today I parked at the bottom of the RB stairs to avoid game day traffic. Walking down the stairs after tripping killed.

I put ice on it and put it up while I watched BYU stomp the Aztecs at the Wilk Ballroom. But several hours later my knee is throbbing still.  I hope I at least get a cool bruise out of this!
