Can I just tell you how stupid I think the Praxis is?

According to No Child Left Behind teachers must be "highly qualified".  In Utah that means you must take the Praxis.  There are all sorts of different Praxis tests ranging from history to art and elementary education.  Everything EXCEPT Special Education.  I would think with out a test they would create one or no have you take one.  But NO.  They require special educators to take the Elementary Education Content Knowledge Test.  It has math, reading, writing, science, and social studies.  I haven't learned anything about teaching SCIENCE or SOCIAL STUDIES.  Special Education focuses on the basics--math, reading, and writing.  I won't teach science or social studies most likely.  I just think it stupid!  Okay I'm done now.
