My heart is overflowing--overflowing with love. I am so impressed with the love people in my ward express for one another.
My roommate walks home late at night from work. Since the area we live in is pretty sketchy we wanted her to have a ride every day from work. Last Sunday we sent around a calendar for the rest of May. We wanted the girls to sign up and then we were going to give it to the Elder Quorum to fill up the other days. When I got home and looked at the paper. Every SINGLE day was filled with a volunteer to pick her up. I almost started crying.
Each Sunday in Relief Society we pass around a honeycomb shaped jar. The girls write a little note to someone in the ward. We call them "sweet notes". After church I go around and deliver them. In the past two weeks there have been 20-30 notes each week. It's amazing because only 15-20 girls come to Relief Society.
These are some of the small examples of the love within our Relief Society. I'm so excited for the rest of the year. It's starting to feel like an actual society.
