I've been an absentee from the blogger world lately. Honestly, I'd rather spend time hucking bouncy balls down the hall or having screaming matches with my nephew.
I started a new job today. I was planning on taking subbing jobs wherever I could within the district. I had booked 7 out of 30 teaching and was praying that was going to increase. It did. Friday I got a call asking if I'd be a long-term substitute in the Special Ed department at one of the smallest elementary schools in the district--to be the sub for the aid. I said yes and set to finding a sub for the 7 days I had already booked. It's a guaranteed job for the next 30-44 school days. Which is half of the days, I am planning on subbing. It's kind of like job security, that I'll be working at least that much--definitely a prayer answered.
Every day I look out my kitchen window I'm so grateful for the little patch of land we call home in Neola. It's definitely a little slice of heaven slapped onto this earth. (Random trivia of the day: Neola isn't even considered a town my the United States--it's a census designated place)
I'm anxiously waiting for Wednesday. I've been struggling with sleep since I was told that my call was sent. I'm so happy, excited, ready but scared and worried out of my mind. I am ready to know where the Lord wants me and start preparing materially. I'm trying my best to prepare spiritually but I definitely could improve--for sure.
