rain showers, snow showers, bridal showers, baby showers
Today I'm not a fan of any of them.
Rain showers: Take 20 kindergartners and 25 first graders to the corn maze when it decides to rain and see if you like rain showers.
Snow showers: See above
Bridal showers: I get their for the bride but they're definitely not for me. I'm not a fan of the sexual innuendos. I think its so wasteful to make dresses out of toilet paper. When I get married I'm going to have a tea party
Baby showers: Who wants to eat baby food? Really? Gross!

I agree with you on all of these. I wrote a blog post once about how much I hate baby/bridal showers, and my SIL now thinks I hate her. (For wanting to throw me one? Or something?)
Anyway, you do what you gotta do, I guess.
