Yesterday I spent at least four hours composing and editing my paper for my humanities class. I saved it from the laptop to my flash drive, with the intentions of printing it out at the college. After arriving in the computer lab, plugging in my flash drive into my desired computer (second row from the front, left side, two chairs in), I attempted to open my essay. Microsoft word slowly uploaded and then a small box outlined in white popped up. It contained complicated lingo, that when simplified said: Your file is corrupt, you waisted four hours of you life, go redo you essay. I went and talked to my professor you understood my situation and gave me until 10 p.m. tonight to complete it.
I was extremely distraught wondering when I would have time to complete it again. I worked from 4 until 6. Mom had been planning dinner for a week (more to come about that in another post). Tonight at 7 is the girls camp kick off/first aide preparation. My night was never going to end.
After a failed attempt at getting Lynnzie to work for me, mom asked her again and she consented to work for me. So I headed to the library (after a short visit with Kaiti) and attempted to start typing up the dreaded paper again.
I searched and searched for a while trying to find the resources I had used. I started to become extremely frustrated.
I said a silent prayer in my heart that I would be able to complete this assignment tonight. So, I tried opening my paper again, hoping for a miracle. Yet the same corruption box popped up again.
"Okay," I thought, "It's not going to be that easy. But the Lord will help me finish it!"
I started at the corruption notice and clicked the extended explanation, reading that there were a couple of options I had. I attempted the first one and again the same repetitive corruption noticed popped up.
As, I attempted my last option, I was a little weary.
IT WORKED!!!
My paper was there, the formating needed some help but it was there!(explanation in the post, my paper is on a treaty called the Ladies Peace, the aunt of Eleanor of Austria and the mother of Francis I King of France, arranged to settle feuding between Spain and France.)
